whats the best dog

Recommended Posts

Its a saluki greyhound type you want for coursing mate  the saluki whippet types are popular as they kill fairly fast (whizzbangs) problem being if they don't kill fast the get dragged all over and risk getting blown or giving tounge when out classed by a decent hare in its full stride.

There are tried and tested line bred dogs out there that will course hares for fun in the right hands, all of which have a high percentage of saluki in there makeup and a bit of greyhound as well for early pace.

i think the collie bull greyhound is the best for coursing pal with a little dash of whippet is the best for coursing hares you dont want no saluki in the mix because according to all the experts on here the saluki is to slow and got no brains :clapper: :clapper: so i would say the bull first because it will add a big bucket of a head and a little rats tails with a very weak backend so this will add tremendous balance and centre of gravity then you put a dash of collie into the mix give will give it a sense of paranoia so its vital to give it valium so as it dont bark all night and runs around in circles and lying on its belly every five mins waiting to be told what to do again even though its done the same thing for years on a daily basis (its vital to put this collie pray drive in and coursing brain ) then you add a little greyhound because we all know this is where we get our great feet and stamina and abilty to turn on a sixpence and never injures itself lastly dont forget the little whippet with its great coat and strenght for all those cold winter days coursing in freezing winds and sleet . these are the dogs that will win forley cups for you lads just look at all the coursing dvds available its these dogs that are doing the buisiness . im certain you dont need the saluki cos according to some experts on here they aint got no brains and you dont need brains to kill winter hares theyre feet are no good and they dont come back when you call em :clapper: you can buy loads of pups on here bred the right way as well so its easy to get a good hare dog if you need to know any more id ask one of the above lads they certainly know theyre onions

I agree that Salukis may have been bred 3/4 thousand years ago lads but that was for running gazelle on the desert grounds of the middle east wasn't it?

Slightly different terrain to what we have over here.

Not knocking any mans chosen breed of dog just interesting anology that they were bred 3/4 thousand years ago.

:clapper::clapper: pure 'Garlic Bread' moment that mate :victory: tis the future of coursing t' Bull X is, out with traditional tweeds and country wear in with trackies tucked in socks :hmm: a bit of Henleys and Burbery will soon brighten up those 'dull' fens. I wager those Jan/feb hares are brickin it at the thought of the bull cross coursing revolution :gunsmilie::gunsmilie:
