Hi guys,

Here is a quick post from yesterday’s 2 outings.

The first outing was just me shooting my BSA R10 after squizzers in the day time.

I ended up shooting 1 at 35 metres, 1 at a lased 38 metres and 1 at 25 metres :whistling: .

All shot with very clean head shots.

I hope you enjoy the footage.

Ill put the link to it at the bottom of this thread.

The next outing was with a friend from work Charlie trying out his new .22 calibre FX Cyclone for the very first time on bunnies.

We zeroed his gun in my zero range at 30 metres and then we set off driving around the permission shooting and lamping from my car.

Charlie shot and I drove and lamped for him.

He is a pretty good shot and managed to bag 5 bunnies in 1 hour and 10 minutes :clapper: .

One of the bunnies that he hit must have been a good 40 metres away, sat down the fire break in a conifer plantation side ways on. He released the triggers second stage and I watched the pellet in my lamp smack the bunny cleanly in the head knocking it off its feet dead 8) .

He seems very happy with the rifle but wants to try a heavier pellet next time instead of the Webley Accupels he was using.

I’ve advised him to try the FX .22 16 grain pellets as I use them in my rifle and that hit hard, especially at longer ranges. Air Arms Fields or Bisley Magnums would also be another couple of good choices to try ;) .

I was very impressed with how quiet the Cyclone was and with its accuracy.

He managed to shoot drawing pins out the back stop at 30 metres from my MCM rest with no real difficulty. I think that this is due to the rifle being regulated.

The regulated rifle puts out 200 shots per charge in .22 calibre and from what I’ve seen of it looks to be the dog nads :boogie: .

The photo is of Charlie with his FX Cyclone and the 5 bunnies that he shot.

Enjoy the footage

Nice shooting gents :clapper:

Si, those tree rats seem to go down stone cold then come back to life. :icon_eek:

Looking at the superb shot placement on them, I am assuming the tail flicking is the squzzer version of a bunnies leg kicking dance routine? :boogie:

Hi guys and in Rabbits case lady

Thanks for all your kind and supportive replies.

It’s no problem Chris mate, as I told you today on the phone. That’s what friends are for, to help out other mates when they are in need.

Its funny that you mentioned that about the .177 calibre mate, because today I went back to the gun shop in Richmond and they informed me that Deben had credited their account with £800 for the broken Verminator.

I looked around the shop and guess what was there jumping out at me saying “please buy me

Only a .22 calibre Weihrauch HW100KT. I couldn’t resist mate and snatched it up in a second. So now I am the proud owner of a HW100KT and a BSA R10 both in .22 calibre.

I took the new gun to the zero range for a test of it and was happy to see it smack out drawing pins at 30 lased metres with ease just like my R10 does and Verminator did.

Luckily for me the HW100KT also loves FX 16 grain pellets and producer’s 1p size groups centre to centre at 30 metres with ease.

I’m looking forward to you coming up soon mate as the DVD is now finished by 1 last good bunny bashing lamping session, so I require yours and Wuzzy’s skill up here shooting while I video.

If you can make this Friday Chris I’ll ask Bob my mate with the brand new AA S510 to borrow it me for the night so you can see how you get on with it. He recons the gun hasn’t had more than 1 or 2 mags through it since he bought it brand new for £620. I think for £400 you have got a steal mate. I’m chuffed to bits for you pal and glad that I’ve helped you out.

Davy,

I do my own videoing mate when out shooting in the day time. I have a tripod that I have modified to fit onto my window of my car which holds the camera really still as seen in my clips.

Tony,

Yes the North Yorkshire squizzers are nails mate, Reggaeman will back me up on that one.

I only really shoot squizzers in the head if possible and the neck if a head shot isn’t on. I try to always be as accurate as the gun can be mate but I’m afraid I’m not that a good shot to be able to do that mate. I don’t even think the world champion FT guys and girls are that good to be able to shoot to a Walther match grade barrel spec.

The 16 grain FX pellets nails them with the high kinetic energy which knocks them over. Believe me they are dead mate but always seem to jump around a lot with the nerves just like a bunny does some times.

Rabbit,

You cheeky girl i know what you was getting at with that cheeky  You will go over my knee again and get another good smanking :whistling: What you got to say about that? 8)

Here is a photo of the new gun.

Regards

Si

that looks fantastic my friend i think when Chris see,s that he,s gonna change his mind again, I've had a few shots through my s10 today and seems OK if not a bit loud might try and tweak the baffles if i can get it open but i hope we can get up there for Friday :boogie: i,m having serious withdrawals :gunsmilie:

Thanks Joey pal :icon_redface:

Yes mate i hope that you can get up too.

The HW100KT is really quiet; I was well impressed with the HW silencer.

Maybe your S10 silencer needs changing mate for a HW or SAK job?

I hope Chris doesn’t change his mind mate, as ive got him the deal of the century lined up
