Rigger Boots?

My Wellies are starting to leak so I've decided to replace them. I love the look of Riggers and the fact that you can get lined ones which seem to be much warmer?

 

They will be used for Shooting, Fishing and Work so need to be able to stand upto that lot! I don't expect to be able to stand In Streams with them but I would like them to keep my Feet dry walking through Wet Grass etc. Not sure If they'd cope with Bait digging though, would be a plus though?

 

Anybody reccomend me any? Looking to spend about £50

Thats all i use is riggers there like slipper on your feet,

 

There great wet grass and that anit a problem,

All i use on mine is that clear dubbing stuff (about £2.50 a tin last months)once a week and never had a problem with them yet, They cost you about £20 to £25 for a lined pair...

 

But i must say tho for them real wet nights you'll never beat your wellies,

riggers are good but they do get heavy on yer feet with those steel toecaps if yer walking for ages that is.

Highly recommend Timberland safety boots. They are like walking with your slippers on,when you compare them to anything else ive worn for work & that includes plodging in the footings all day/week too. I bought a second pair,as soon as i realised how clever they were. They aint cheap,but you have to keep care of your feet !!

Edited to say..........not the heavy ones. They look a wee bit like hiking/dress boots. Very light in weight.

Can't beat the riggers mate. I got mine for about 20quid and have lasted me ages. Take them ferreting, fishing, shooting and motorbiking and they still perfect.

I thought i'd try a pair of rigger boot's but they started leaking and give you no support

iv never had no luck with them. had the ankle ones and the long ones leaked and came apart at seems

you can get rubber/plastic riggers for about 25 quid at screwfix,they are lined as well

Sure there was talk on them stopping the riggers in production. Either that or banning them from sites,due to the lack of support on the heel.
