AKA-BRINDLE 879
I feel that in some cases its not owner or breed but it comes down to individual dogs...i was a paperboy back in the 70's and i can tell you there where plenty man aggressive dogs around back then especally around farms...my brother still carrys the scars on his face from being attacked by the family mongrel...it didnt make the papers(bitch didnt make it to tea time the next day)...you can only imagine the damage if it had of been a Bull type instead of a collieXterrier
ratattack 111
It's 99% fuckwit owners and 1% bad dogs that are the problem. Any dog can be trained to be aggressive just as any can be trained to be docile. Breeding from docile dogs will help but as long as knobheads can get pitbulls and rotties with no experience of owning dogs then these problems will continue. If more people watched programs on tv and read books on the subject of how to train dogs and recognise the warning signs i'm sure there would be less people injured by poorly handled animals. Attack Fell Terrier 864
then you get police that can slip a 90+lb dog at you do you think thats right? The answer to that is dont be a naughty boy and put yourself in the positsion there going to set the dog on you Mick.. It's not always the case is it mate, some police officers are like some dogs! Horrible b*stards!

Ratreeper 441
you can raise a naturally aggressive dog to be placid, or visa versa. You CAN breed a dog to be aggressive, like dog-aggressive pits etc So 99.9% of the time its the owner, not necessarily on purpose but most people don't know what they are doing. Then theres the dogs with brain damage etc with no chance of being rehabilitated, which is so extremely rare its babrely worth mentioning.

littletimmy 71
then you get police that can slip a 90+lb dog at you do you think thats right? Of course its right , police dogs are trained to a high standard and are kept by capable handlers, they are only slipped on suspected criminals, if your law abideing what have you to worry about. IMO police should keep and train Pit Bull Type dogs for work on more serious , violent, and terroist elements. When i was about 14 someone had been stabbed round here, my mate came out the entry on his bike with headphones in. So oblivous to the police shouting him he carried on pedaling off in the oppersite direction. He didnt match the discription of the suspect, nor had he had anything to do with it. What capable handler slips theres dog on someone they believe is carrying a knife? And the best part of it was after he had been ragged of his bike and dragged around the floor, aswell as stood all over by "capable" police officers, he was told he was being arrest for assaulting a police dog. Yes very capable IMO.
