This one is 1" wide, tried 1.5" wide and it looked and felt to bulky, especially where the straps go around the shovel handle.

Main strap section is 2 layers thick.

With solid brass buckles £15 inc post.

Its still on your Tool though

LOL

Not on my tool mate, I borrowed that shovel off my mate in his hardware shop, what on earth would I need one of those for?!

The strap looked silly on the garden spade I had it on originally ........

hows it stay at the bottom of the shaft without sliding up???not nocking it mate as would be intrested if stayed in plaice

The holes are close enough together that it can be tightened around the thinner part of the shaft just above the blade.I've used a leather one of these for years and wouldn't be without one...

Try drilling a 10 mm hole in the very top left hand corner of the face of your shovel ( as you look at it) if you carry your shovel over your left shoulder, and get an old dog lead clip ( the spring loaded ones you know) ,attach to bottom end of said luminous strap and Bobs your uncle, fanny's your Aunt.

Unhook and dig at your leisure

Perhaps you could supply those as well SS, already fixed, seeing as you are the man who has every known gadget known to dog men :clapper: . It's what I use and it works a treat.

Cheers
