Hello -anyone with progressive views?

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone

Sorry for the somewhat provacative topic, I have being viewing the forum for a few days and picking up really good ideas for someone totally new to shooting (except a few feral pigeons and rats when I worked on a farm as kid), but just looked on the general topics page and thought I'd stumbled across an NF/BNP forum. As someone who has spent my adult life fighting petty perjusidce and narrow mindedness not sure if I belong or would be welcome here.

Anyway, if there are people with some progressive, tolerant views;

I am interested in getting into shooting, probably pest control, pigeon and rabbits if I can get a permission and clays to get my eye in and improve. Will probably have a few clay sessions to make sure I at least point the gun in the right direction! have been debating with myself about shot gun cert or firearms, right now siding with shotgun beacuse its easier to get, and will be able to shoot rabbits and pigeons, maybe looking to get a FAC in time. Also fancy doing some wildfowling, but don't have /want a dog yet so this is further down the line. Long and short, is going to have a few lessons sessions with a shotgun and rifle, to be safe and check which I prefer.

Finally, looking at taking up fishing again. Did it a lot as a kid and sometimes go out fishing with a mate whn back in Yorkshire, have felt the bug coming back over the last 12 months.

Anyway, about me, as you can guess a bit of a leftie (being honest), from Yorkshire, went to uni in Sunderland and have lived in Birmingham since 2001, am 36, work full time in a national job (so get about a bit, but work from office in Birmingham), got a partner and life is pretty sweet.
