I was out on thursday evening and missed a fox crossing a ploughed field,I was totally pissed off and disheartened with the new rifle.

Friday evening I went back to same spot to zero the rifle, bullets seemed to be going all over I couldnt understand what was going on,I could only presume a bad batch of factory ammo.

I finally got it sorted hitting a 10p piece at 100yds.

So i went for a stroll,on looking over a steep banking I spotted a fox lying at the base of a tree about 5 yds away facing in the opposite direction.I quickly adjusted my scope to the minimum settings and shot him where he lay, unlucky sod!!!!

Then I carried on and just as the light was fading a nice old buck stepped out in front of me which I dispatched with a neck shot.

Fate played a part in this as if I hadnt missed that fox the previous evening I wouldnt have had such a good evening yesterday :D:angry:
