micky 3,325
Lets have it right boys lines are down right dangerous to ferrets and often leathal...This is not just my opinion but a time proven fact especialy in headge rows and wooded areas were a ferret can soon hang himself on roots. I'm sure that most people on here that have served a long apprentiship with the little critters will agree and most will have heard of, witnessed or infact themself lost a good working ferret to these death traps.I would always advise a locator as it make for a much more enjoyable day when you know were your workers are but if yoou dont want to make the investment put them down loose and be patient. ATB everyone to their own works for me and has done for my family and friends for years not lost any or injured any so disagree their atb rich you say you use a lined ferret, but do not dig again i ask WHY whats the point, I think your making it up ,or do you take your ferret rock climbing :piggy: :piggy: :piggy: :piggy: :piggy: Quote Link to post
Gazza.H.18 2
I would recommend getting a collr n locator for def. I have the new version it ok it locate them , bu the depth finder is wrong at times . If u can pick up the old version they are alot better . But you def need one mate , get your friend told . Marksman 934
I use a line with leather collar Have done for years never have to dig atb rich well why do you use a line and collar if you have never had to dig ,why bother? it's because i was shown over 15 years ago this way how to work ferrits on lines and it's worked for me thats why i've used one all the time i've been ferriting so how long you been ferriting and how many times you've had to dig and what method do you use rich I used a line ferret for years with no problems at all, even used bell collars, but now since getting the locator wouldn't put mine down without it simply due to the amount of small digs producing rabbits from stopends with the ferrets right up their arse Darryl Quote Link to post
