bedrock 16
Yes it can its a top class gun. A well made Springer is just as accurate as a PCP, but a Springer is harder to shoot accurately when compared to a PCPs. No need to apologise for all the questions thats what this forum is for, everyone has to start somewhere and you dont know if you dont ask. atb John Quote Link to post

SouthernHunter 4
Hiya Mate-as above: I shot an informal Easter Sunday HFT (Hunter Field Target) competition at Bisley back in 2005 and top scored with 58 ex 60. For fun, I coached a couple of new shooters around the course in the afternoon and shot the course with My HW97K (fitted with a Venom stage 1 tuning kit-repalcement spring / spring guide and piston seal). Obviously there was no pressure on me as I had shot the course officially in the morning. I managed 59 ex 60 with the HW97K. Nough said. Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Pest Hunter, Ive owned a Weihrauch HW97K myself that i had tuned by the master himself Tony Wall of Sandwell Field Sports in West Bromich. It's the best spring gun that i have ever owned, followed closely by my HW95K. He charges £40ish for a tune and what he cant do with any HW isnt worth doing mate. I was able to put in 5 shot 1 pence size groups with mine and it was in .22 calibre without really trying to hard. When i pushed it the group sizes tightened up even more not far off 1 holers. Even the rifle out of the box without a tune will still put in tiny thumb nail groups sizes at 30 metres. I have a friend in work that owns a HW97K and a brand new Air Arms S510 both in .177 calibre. Guess which one he is selling? The S510 He wont ever sell the 97K so he says. So the answer to your question is they are top class, brilliant rifles mate. Zini Quote Link to post
dixyhmr 62
Lovely accurate smooth guns with great triggers. A tad heavy, ( as are most quality springers ) and not ideal for shooting out of a vehicle but very accurate and nice to shoot. I preffered my 97k over my TX200HC. Quote Link to post
