second attempt at making a purse net and i am really pleased with it

bit of advice make ur ends longer so that you can tie the onto ur 1st mesh

 

apart from that they look perfect

Have a look at another purse net at how the draw cord goes through the top ring, that one will never purse like that.

it dose purse ok. i only tied it on for now to keep it from getting in a tangle

well done mate the more you do the easier they get your draw cord is not right not having a go just trying to help :thumbs-up:

So you should be proud of it mate the net looks fine but the drawcord on the peg end dont look right

it needs to flow freely through the ring on both sides and not wraped round the ring

Please dont take this as dig mate just a bit of frendly advise keep on making them nets you will find it

easier and faster the more you make good luck with it

nice net try opening it wide and give it a little pull at either side of the same row see if any of the knots are slipping if so make sure the knots are not slipping over the mesh board also when threading the cord through make sure oneside comes out from under the ring and the other in from the top and tie a knot abot 2 inches away from the ring when the net is fully stretched open then put your peg on if you put both cord in from the same side they can get tangled easy and the peg could slip through the ring

thanks all. i copied it from a net that was sent to me by a man who makes and sales them. his draw cord is tied on at one end and flows at the other. so i have done the same. i can always change it . thanks for the advice
