i have a whippet bitch ,shes a great bushing bitch who works well with my terrires but tyrers on her own when were out on lamp so i want another to share the work load.but do i breed her or buy another i carnt make my mind up wat u recomend.

I`me sure that most people have thought of doing this themselves, and i expect more than a few have done it,

What you have to ask yourself is, is your bitch worth breeding from, has got a few seasons of work done and was she good at what you gave her to do..??

Your next question is what work would you expect from a pup out of her, more of what your doing with the bitch you already have, or a different type of work, and what type of dog could bring the Qualities your looking for..

Then you have the task of finding a suitable stud dog, !!!! and believe me that's no easy task, cos as much as people big up their dogs, most are reluctant to actually prove it..

You also have the possibility of choosing another whippet and if both parents are k.c. registered that gives you another avenue of possible sales, and higher reward/price,

Whatever you choose to do, your 1st thought should be will you be able to find homes for the pups, and in the current climate, that is easier said than done... just check the for sale section on this forum alone...

if i cant get pups for nothing off people i know i would breed my own keep wat i want ,give a few back to people who sorted me out with pups and put the rest to sleep.THE WAY THINGS SHOULD BE DONE.

Why put them to sleep?
