Guest fence_hopper
buy from good stock saves you all the hassle of cleaning puppy sh*t and finding homes only abit of advive it's up to you the end off the day. i'd also be carefull of your bitch if she has bad points being inherited into the pup you keep and your back to square one alb al Edited November 30, 2009 by fence_hopper Quote Link to post

I`me sure that most people have thought of doing this themselves, and i expect more than a few have done it, What you have to ask yourself is, is your bitch worth breeding from, has got a few seasons of work done and was she good at what you gave her to do..?? Your next question is what work would you expect from a pup out of her, more of what your doing with the bitch you already have, or a different type of work, and what type of dog could bring the Qualities your looking for.. Then you have the task of finding a suitable stud dog, !!!! and believe me that's no easy task, cos as much as people big up their dogs, most are reluctant to actually prove it.. You also have the possibility of choosing another whippet and if both parents are k.c. registered that gives you another avenue of possible sales, and higher reward/price, Whatever you choose to do, your 1st thought should be will you be able to find homes for the pups, and in the current climate, that is easier said than done... just check the for sale section on this forum alone...
