beaner 0
Hi to everyone, just wanted your thoughts and to know what sort of whistle you all use. I have a 9 month springer who is trainied to the sit, stop, recall and turn whistle (just started this one). I have been using a 211 1/2, after being away for the weekend with a trainer he put the thought into my head on the adjustable almost silent whistle (acme 535 is one that i found). Don't feel it is to late to change as the dog is very focused on me and feel it would take a short while to change whistle's. Not seen many people with. Thoughts and comments. Geoff.C 0
Why change something that is working for you? We always use the Acme 210 1/2, and don't foresee changing this. We have an adjustable whistle somewhere, but actually find it better to be able to hear the "commands", so 210 1/2 it is! Quote Link to post
danielt 1
I have both 210 1/2 and the adjustable. I had to adapt the adjustable whereby i put a piece of rubber tube on the end so i could grip it, as i found holding the whistle in my mouth for a period was a pain in the ass. I have stopped using the adjustable silent whistle, i just find it easier with the 210 1/2. I trained my cocker with both whistles at one point and didnt see much difference in her response to the whistle. Quote Link to post
