Boy of Four killed in dog attack Liverpool

Recommended Posts

That very sad to hear may the little fella rip and God be with the family. Ihave to agree with some of the people posting on this topic, there was a incident like this 3 weeks ago over here in ireland thankfully the little lad survied, he recieved 200 staples in his head and face, numerous stitches all over his body he will need 7 years worth of plastic surgery so his face wont scare two dogs were involed in the attack they were both high bred wolves. the dog was but down the bitch wasnt as she was carrying pups. I personally blame the owner you have your dog the way it is trained as a small pup.

once again rip little lad.

How many more Children are going to be Mauled to Death Before any thing is done. There should be Some licencing Legislation Regarding Dangerous Breeds. The Owners should be Made to Prove they are Capable of Training and Controlling these Breeds. I wonder if legislation comes out on bull breeds and it covers part bred bull breeds, how will you lads with the bull lurchers be situated,The RSPCA will take full advantage of baning ALL dogs with obvious bull blood in them.Just something to ponder on.

I heard on the news this morning that in Spain you have to be vetted & deemed suitable before you can keep certain breeds of dogs like rotties. Something like this could be the way forward in this country, even though it'll make no difference in the sad case of this poor little lad & his family.

RIP..what a waste.

You would not have a car or a FAC or SGC without proving yourself safe ,responsible and capable of correct use.

Children and dogs don't mix .....powerfull dogs oap's and children either. Accidents are going too happen lets not encourage them. This as has been said on here,it needs legislation and now.

Its not the first child...lets pray its the last.

I,m a dogownwer and a father off 5. We are always on hand when the dogs are out but they are farm dogs with miles under them each day. Makes you think.

Thoughts with the family

Of course they can! If you were lying on a couch and a terrier took a dislike to your throat, would you survive??? I doubt it :wallbash: If a rottie or bull breed did it you wouldn't survive, if a feckin poodle did it you wouldn't survive! They are all WILD animals at heart, yes there will always be good and bad but they are only that way through stupid owners. ANY dog will revert to it's natural insticts if it goes feral and it will kill if needed they are carnivores after all. Thats called nature, we as humans have tamed their insticts to an extent but there is NO way any dog can be fully trusted around children. People need trained not just dogs.

Any human is capable of killing, just some choose not to and some don't, same with dogs.

Sorry to disagree but any common domestic dog is capable of killing a toddler/small child. My terrier is designed to kill things, a fox is not much smaller than a young child although smaller than a 4 year old. Is my terrier a dangerous dog??? No. It is socialised and properly trained to be around humans.

A freind of mine had a 10stone rottie that was as soft as any labrador, safe around kids and other dogs but because it was a rottie it was seen as a dangerous dog by those who didn't know it!!

It is the owner's fault!

Look at the dog whisperer with his pitbulls and tell me pitbulls are dangerous...they get that way through bad ownership with no real knowledge of the breed.

No your wrong mate.....it always makes me laugh when people say " all dogs are capable of killing someone "...they are not !....to say they are in such a black and white way is no different to me saying " no dogs could ever kill someone "....

We are dealing with nature and the law of nature dictates good AND bad will ALWAYS crop up from time to time regardless of owners and regardless of these black and white statements.....some dogs are born bad....and have the genetic capability to kill a human,by the same token some dogs are born good and simply DO NOT have that same capability....to think all dogs can kill a human is just as naive as thinking no dogs could kill a human.....nature just dont work like that.

To bloody true, people need to realise there are consequences to there ignorance!

Ratattack it's pointless comparing a small terrier to a bull breed or rottie, the damage that the latter can do to a person in a short amount of time bares no comparison. That's the reason why you nearly always find kids are killed by these breeds.
