As for jocks we get a lot of them here in wales when there is a rugby match and i must say they are great. We all get drunk and not an ounce of trouble from them no matter who wins the match. Seemed to have strayed a little from the point of the thread but ... seems to me that the folk doing the most complaining were living in shitholes long before the immigrants arrived.Immigrants traditionally on arrival tend to move to the poorest areas and after a few generations move out into the more affluent suburbs. So the fact that immigrants come over and sheer no pride greed leads to them to money/housing etc etc....is a good thing ???.....yes london always had its share of immigrants.....but when i was growing up i/we wasnt strangers in our own streets,i grew up in near poverty in one of the poorest parts of london having suffered massively during the war......now do you really think it was immigrants who got things back together ? should we be thankful to the immigrants for all they have done for east london....what have they dont for east london apart from polute it.......you seem to be forgetting the main reason these people come to england and particularly london......they come here to exploit it not embrace it....can you honestly say you disagree with that statement ?.....i dont think anyone could.....so with that in mind do you expect someone like me who has had to give up on my own area which i loved and was loyal to....to be happy about it ? I'm never one to join the BNP bandwagon or the so-called racist posts, but here is my real life experience in relation to local councils and ethnic minorities. 1) When mum and dad split up (he was a bit of a nutter to say the least), her and us kids were on the streets. Our 'dad' was waiting back at home with a kitchen knife for us... We presented to the council, only to be told they had nowhere for us to go. Tough titty. Mum said we'd best be sleeping in their offices then, unless they wanted her murder and that of four children on their conscience? They put us in a one room B&B and then a shared-access homeless unit for a week. When we asked what the delay was (we were stuck in the middle of nowhere with no money, no clothes, nothing) we were told the council were busy.... seeing to the Pakistani immigrants who were currently being housed in the local 5* hotel. We'd lived (and in mum's case worked) life-long in the UK and got thrown to one side, so that some immigrants could be tended to in a five star fecking hotel. Nice. 2) This year a family of black immigrants moved into my mum's street. They seem perfectly nice and decent, and started trying to make friends in the street. Fair play. A few weeks ago while the local housing dept was refitting the kitchens in every property in the street, the family disappeared. They turned back up this week, after work men had been in their place for 6 times longer than anyone else's house. The woman of the family couldn't wait to tell all her "friends" in the street what had happened. She wasn't content with a new home in the UK, fully paid for by the taxpayer. She wasn't content with that home only having a new kitchen fitted like everyone else on the estate either. She'd phoned the housing up, and TOLD them that she wanted a new living room, kitchen floor and suite, new bathroom suite and so on. They told her sorry, there's not money in the budget to do that unless it's essential repair works - they can't give one and not the other. Her reply? (this is from her own words remember, not hearsay)... "If I wasn't black, and a foreigner, you'd have done this no problem. You're racist!".... And do you know? They walked straight into it. They put her and her family in the aforementioned hotel and gutted her house, knocking down and rebuilding interior walls, new plastering and decorating, new floors, new kitchen, new bathroom, new bedroom suites.... and they even landscaped her gardens, front and back (this authority won't even mow the lawns of disabled residents as it's "too expensive" - they just get "tidy notices" served on them)... all at your expense. The woman was quite proud of herself, bragging she "likes to play the race card and get stuff - all the time"... and apparently doesn't understand why her neighbours are chewing their teeth about it?? Welcome to NuLab Britian with its PC councils too scared to say no to anyone who isn't white. Yes we can blame them for being bloody scroungers, not to mention ungrateful b*****ds considering they came to the UK with nothing and are just out for all they can get. But at the same time, doesn't most of the blame lie with local and national government which is only too happy to drop its trousers and bend over to these demanding parasites to begin with? I can't see how they get that much housing benefit, they only give you so much towards the cost of the rent. It doesn't work like that any more mate. Local Housing Allowance is set at the "middle rate" for a given borough's housing market (i.e. you get enough money to afford to privately rent at least the cheapest 50% of properties on the market in any given month). WHICH 50% of that market is determined by how many adults and children are in your household. So if you take for example Mr and Mrs Smith and their child, they'd be entitled to the two bedroom house rate (one room for an adult couple living together as married, and one room for up to two children under 12). When you have 16 Pakistanis living in a house (and god knows how many bedrooms claimed for), in an up-market borough, you can literally afford to rent a mansion. Whereas white/British people have to live in the town they're already resident/born in, and aren't "allowed" to move areas on public funds (your claim would be rejected unless you had a tie to the town), "ethnic minorities" simply turn up and say "I want to live in Kensington... meet my 16 sons and daughters"... and voilà.
