hob or jill

i do a lot with the terriers and lurchers(digging mostly), but i was thinking of getting a ferret to go out and do a bit of netting , would i be better off with a hob or jill.?

ferrets are social animals so keeping 1 isnt really fair

get a hob and a jill and then you can have the best of both worlds

 

i like working my hob but that dont mean my jill aint no good

they both have advantages

if you want to catch a few bunnies a jill would be better to bolt te rabbits but as said before its fairer to keep two

yea your better of keeping two i use both hobs and jills and i find their just as good as each other

I use both. Jills seem to be better bolters but the hobs seem a lot more thorough, just have to take a shovel with the hobs.

You would be better doing a bit of research mate you get two hobs they will fight and bum each other in the summer ,two jills need brought out of season so you need to think what you get

use jills myself mate hobs kill 2 much so your digging most of the time

Have had good of both but prefere jills they dont seem to kill as much as hobs

This is an age old question that nobody can realy answer as it is personal prefrence

some swear by hobs some by jills if you can try them both or even better keep one of each

just to say iv never bought a jill out of season in 30 years on and off keeping and working ferrets,and never had any probs,i know a lot will say you should but i never have thats all
