ratattack 111
what poison? Most modern poisons require a substantial amount of dead/dying rats to be consumed and cause harm through secondary poisoning. It may be primary poisoning with an indoor use only poison which would be a differnt matter. Most farmers buy the strongest stuff they can and don't read the instruction label It's Vitamin K1 thats the antidote
SNAP SHOT 194
Get the dog to the vet mate.... Asap... just to be sure... most of the modern rat baits contain warfarin....... i think it is called .... it prevents the inability of the blood to clot..... and the dog could be bleeding internally..... i don't wish to alarm you, but believe me i know, i work for a large businees that sells it............... check for theses signs,Weakness, pale gums, blood in the urine or nose... internal bleeding, distended, firm abdomen due to bleeding internally..... even if the dog seems ok, the poision will still be taking effect over a few days.... i hope everything turns out ok... Snap. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warfarin k1 will only work for warfarin, and other anti blood clotting forms of poision.... but there are that many on the market now that you need to be sure... i got a direct link so as you would be sure its k vit you need,
ratattack 111
Mate if you work for a company that sells rodent poison then try reading the lables Warfarin has not been used in modern poisons for years due to high levels of resistance to warfarin (Warfarin is only generally available for grey squirrel control) The majority of poisons are anti-coagulants with a an antidote of vit K1. Even brodificoum which is an acute poison (indoors only) has the same antidote
