ferreter.al 22 Posted November 29, 2009 Report Share Posted November 29, 2009 in short mate yes it is,it is still legal to get working terriers,spanials and pointers docked.although you have to prove they are workers by producing a shot gun cert and i know that sounds daft because a lot of terrier men dont keep guns but thats how it is,i think some vets ask to see permission letters to prove you have the land to work them on!!! and the hardest part is finding a vet that will do it.i got a decent one, s.yorks/notts area. hope this helps.atb Quote Link to post

higgins 75 Posted November 30, 2009 Report Share Posted November 30, 2009 i'm not a fan of the tail docking ban,but if you can find a vet that can do it for you then stick with him,for me it's a case of if a terrier is still bred from worker to worker i 'll use him for digging tail or no tail,we are not in a fashion world now,so if the dog works 100 % then that's all that matters today, Higgins.
