foxylady 1
heya! ideally pup shouldnt be able to chase live rabbit until a year old, just in personal experience only.just seems to work better for us. personally- retrieving is good training point firstly and most important, as when you're out lamping you dont wana be chasing the dog round in circles, he/she should bring it straight to your feet with your command. sit and stays are very important for a working dog as are important for general discipline, you want the dog to know whos boss remember, and youre in command. and obviously recall.coming back when you want it to!! important! lead training - some pups are daunted by leads at very first. when training, i.e retrieving, only do a few times daily, be consistent. as pup gets bored quickly and will want to move on, so do a few times each day until it gets the idea over time. will soon learn!!! atvb- let us know how u get on!!!
