summer boys out killing things and the sport off whats your veiw on it

been out every day this week walking for about 6 miles a day lamping the fields golf coarses ect there is nothing and i mean nothing. i keep thinking about bagging a few rabbits and releasing them. but done it before and they have been wiped out. would you repopulate or just leave it. it pisses me off that kids (boys)go out during the summer and wipe them out instead of leaving them to repopulate do you have the same problem near you.

mixi has not been around for years i wouldnt mind am usely garrenteed to see at least 3 -4 foxes a night. im seeing nothing

LETTING A FEW RABBITS GO IS A GOOD IDEA. THE SUMMER TIME HUNTERS ARE A PAIN IN THE ASS ESPECIALLY THE ONES WHO LAMP HARES AS SOON AS THE STUBBELS ARE CUT YOU CAN HARDLY GET A RUN THIS TIME OF YEAR COS THEY HAVE WASTED IT

rabbits breed all year round, and its not just kids as you say,if a farmer phones what ever day of the year and says i need rabbits taking, what are you going to do say no because its summer, i think not cos if you wont do it he will find someone that will,

i have spoke to the farmer he has said to me there has been nothing around for ages.

Letting out rabbits is not realistic in the long term,where are you going to get the rabbits from to release,if your able to get them in one place ,why bother with the spot that has none..

well this is what im thinking i am constuntly thinking will it do any good. if i released 10 not alot i know but like you know they breed 3-4 times a year long term it would be better if left for 2-3 years.

This time of year would be good,it would give them enough time too settle in before spring when breeding starts,but i cant see it as an option for your long term hunting,sounds like you need to travel further afield bud,

was hunting there in the summer and never do it again prop because it was my 1st lucher in 15 years but thats no excuse. so for this hunting season we have let go 50 odds off at the same promise my self never hunt in the summer again dont mind the odd moooch with the pups and bush dogs but that will be about it.all this season we have sold a few rabbits to cover deisel and that but the rested are getting let go in fields where we can get a good hunt for next year

I agree, there was a young lad (19) ferreting in july by me. Didnt have permission and just left the rabbits there. The next time i saw him i asked what he was doing he said " just wanted to give my dog a run" even worse he left his ferret there on a kill

Thats wright mate, people posting there catches on here in summer, where are there bragging post now ??????? dogs get used to the easy summer rabs and levs and when it comes to winter when the cover is down and stuff gets harder to wrap up and catch there dogs catch f**k all worth posting, the odd mooch with a young dog or pup for a COUPLE of easy kills to get its gob going is ok, but lads that hunt all yearound are just idiots with shit dogs imo, half the time come the season winter you will see there dogs up in the forsale section.

Just look come winter how many people are selling dogs because they are moving house or have a new job working away or are splitting up with the misses , no such thing happen much through the summer months . Its a joke.
