Guest Gregg Barrow
Ant, Terrible news and a tough way to start your life with the dogs. I’m forty nine and its Niagara Falls every time one of mine goes (this has been a helluva year with three old timers passing on) I have little respect for a man who doesn’t grieve. They don’t understand what it’s all about. Pure Class the way you notified Rainmaker first and didn’t have him read it here. Rainmakers reply is a solid indication of the type of young man that you are; I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you will be a credit to the dogs you own in the future and the hunting community on the whole. Harry McElroy (a falconer) once said to me. “Best wishes with your falconry, it’s not always kind to us†The same can be said for the dogs. Looking to the future. Gregg Quote Link to post
chris hickling 14
nice bitch mate , a real shame, i lost a young bull x years ago 1 morning, fox stopped and looked at me and the dog was off ,he turned it got it then rolled let it go up though a hedge and on the road then bang , 6.30 in the morning, i knew it was hardy, a month befor his 2nd birthday .i bred the dog and was guttered , was thinking of doing the same mating again and a month later his dad got killed the same way but at night , that was 6 1/2 years ago and i still think back about him and the fun i had with him , you never forget mate, i can close my eyes now and still see that run and thinking to myself hes got that . thats when i got jack my big dog now , 19 months old he was then , and ive never hunted that same spot since with me lurchers ,a real shame mate , feel it for you. chris Quote Link to post
