Airgun ban : calll for help!

Recommended Posts

hi all

You may/may not be aware of the looming airgun ban in scotland. if this was to be succesfull then i belive it would truly be the beggining of the end of airgun shooting in the u.k. this act if passed would deprive many honest law abiding folk of many hours enjoyment of their favourite hobby/interest , even livelyhood.

We need a show of strength on this one people!

could everyone who has not done so already please sign the petition below

Signed. This is important everyone! I am a Scot but I think all air gunners in the UK should sign, if air guns are banned in Scotland then antis will say air guns should be banned all over the UK. It would be the beginning of the end for air gunning.

what they tryin to do mate ban them all together or make them on licence??

funny no one has answered your easy question mate some one must no why lets see if some one tells us

the real question is just' WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE WHO KEEP BANNING EVERYTHING'in that question you may find out what's really happening in this country,

Higgins.

p.s just to add that we have a sort of 'umbrella government',anything under their 'umbrella' can be banned just by the mere mention of it,we ain't seen nothing yet folks!

Probs get a slating for this, but would licencing air rifles be such a bad thing? I know it makes life harder for all responsible legitimate airguners, but maybe it will help prevent alot of halfwit chavs getting hold of them? There are a hell of alot of idiots owning air rifles, kids getting killed, pet cats shot etc this is because wankers can just walk into a shop and get a air rifle for £40, its easy. Whereas if it was licenced they may not bother? Not saying it would stop it as handguns have been banned for years yet still alot around.

Dont get me wrong I am not promoting a ban just asking if it would be that bad a thing in the long run?

signed but i also think i would be a good idea to bring in some sort of controlling issue to who owns air rifles like a small questionaire etc to get license or air rifle has to be registered to a person and if anything happens etc there to blame like fac to stop idiots goin and buying an air rifle off local smack head and shooting around kids parks etc with no gun knowledge at all

I agree. Stricter controls on the purchase and ownership of Air Rifles would be of a benefit to the Airgunning community. A License (Not FAC IMO) would be good to carry with you along with your written permission just in case the boys in blue did turn up asking questions. It is a pity that the mindless and careless do give the more resposible airgunners a bad name, but that just seems to be the way of it.
