I bagged my first Hare on Saturday morning. From getting out of the car, putting boots on, loading up and dropping the Hare about 5 minutes tops passed. Distance about 45 - 50 yards with a .22 Logun Solo. The gun was zeroed in to 30 yards so my first shot fell low, Mr Hare sat bolt upright and looked around. Weihrach silencer did what it was supposed to do :D . Next shot went slightly high, Mr Hare practically stared right at me but never moved. 3rd shot straight through the heart. Keeled right over no fuss.

I only had the phone so the picture doesn't do it any justice, so I layed it down next to the gun to give a bit of scale.

Nice one mate! :good:

I've been practicing for long shots with the solo, seem to be getting good results so far I'm getting about 2" groups out to about 50 yds :thumbs-up: Gun seems perfect, just me shaking to much!! went out again last night to pick up a couple of rabbits for dinner came back with a rabbit and a pigeon :victory:

45-50 yards on live quarry with a .22 air rifle is pushing to far IMO.

30-35 yards MAX on live quarry with 11 fpe .22.

not if you know what your doing and the conditions are right :D

Still dont agree.

45-50 yards with a non FAC .22 is to far, Its not fair to shoot at live quarry at that distance with a .22, maybe with a .177 but Personally I wouldnt. The fact that he missed 2 times shows that he could have hit the hare anyware, just lucky that he got in the 'heart'.

toataly agree with you, it is too far unless youve practised those ranges and know were to aim. if it was even a bit windy it would a definate no no for me as i dont know were to aim that far down range with a cross wind but sure there are some that no doubt could....
