Bloody rifle is f-cked already

Recommended Posts

Well guys I'm not happy at the moment  ,

The Verminator is broken already and only after 2.5 days of having it :hmm: .

I went to fill it tonight and the air is leaking out of the inlet valve.

Ive read the instruction book and it says when this happens the inlet valve needs changing as its gone.

Not good to say the gun is only 2.5 days old.

Its going back to the gun shop on Monday. They either are going to have to replace it for a new Verminator as its under warranty or Im getting a HW100T instead.

To tell you the truth Im not sure if I trust the rifle now after letting me down so quickly.

As Ive already said its pointable as hell and deadly accurate, but if it leaks what good is it to man or beast?

Good that Ive still got my old faithful. R10.

My mates just bought an FN Falcon as a starter PCP, and the seals have gone on that too, if you do go for the HW100T you wont be dissapointed, and he said the same as you, if thats what the gun is like new, sounds like shoddy workmanship by the manufacturer ;)

Cheers for all the support guys  ,

Yes Stealthy1 I agree with your mate friend. Once the rifle has been broken your confidence soon goes, and with the amount of shooting that I do I need a reliable, accurate rifle. The accuracy was definitely there but the reliability wasnt. I will have to see what happens tomorrow at the shop :hmm: .

Ill keep you updated mate.

Yes Wabbit it was bought brand new from my local gun shop.

Its not the gun shops fault. They are a really friendly and helpful lot; in fact when I picked it up it was still in the packaging that it came in that morning from Deben and they opened it infront of me.

The same gun shop also sold me my R10 and people who know me have seen that gun in action, nothing wrong with that piece of equipment :whistling: .

I think that I will have another look at the HW100T :hmm: .

The shop has a brand new HW100T in .22 calibre on the shelve.

I like .177 a lot but I manage to shoot .22 and .177 just the same really if truth be said. Ive done some nice shots with my R10.

If you were to ask some of the dead vermin (Quote of the day for you Reggaeman) that Ive shot with my .22 R10 at long ranges, they would say that the calibre doesnt matter 8) .

Any thoughts guys?

Zini mate them Fxs are shit seen loads in gun shops and when i go back there still there can`t shift em for luv nor money . I`ve tried a fair few air rifles daystate mk4 the latest and i tell you what its no better than the HW100 . Take some beating those HWS i like .177 myself but me HW is in .22 and love it . The feckers still in germany at the moment :wallbash: .

I know the feeling when a new gun go`s tits up  but never had 1 go after 2.5 days that really is a shitter . The r10 is spot on for you so why not add another top bit of kit to your armoury in another cal best of both worlds then aye  FV .

Not good news about the verminator, better it happened still under warranty now so you can insist on soething new. HW100 in any flavour is a fantastic gun, I'm sure you wouldn't be dissopointed! Although I imgine its a fair bit heavier than the Vermi.....

Good luck, Andy

i really feel for you si. at least youve still got the trusty r10 eh?

i know its no conselation but its true lol lol.

ive actually decided against the hw100 simply due to what i keep hearing about the weight???

i am seriously liking the look of the AAS510 but not in no mad rush to get rid of my Ultra cos its deadly as you know and i'd rather keep it than sell it for next to nowt

like joey says mate"manny airguns got a HW100" so you could use that as an excuse to get your arse down our end lol lol.

well thats me out for now cos its time for a :drink:

Chris

zini are you sure there isn't just a bit of debri stopping the valve closing, maybe pushed in when using the fill probe?

this has happend a couple of times to me on differant FX rifles.

it maybe because the FX guns don't come with a protective bung to fill the hole for the probe when not filling.

its an easy fix, just quick strip and clean but of course the rifle must be EMPTY OF AIR before starting.
