foxylady 1
1)anal glands need emptying 2)sign of worms. most likely to be either or!
Rainmaker 7
its most probably its anal glands get em squeezed and then add a teaspoon of bran to its food, it firms em up and makes natural gland emptying a bit easyer. if you worm your dog regular then you shouldnt get worm problems, try using the vet wormer Milbemax its the best thing on the market kills every type of worm and its cheap. Feeding raw meaty bones will help keep the glands in good order as the crap comes out in a more appropriate form. By that I mean raw feeding doesn't lead to the soft mushy stools you get with most commercial foods, and as a consequence the well-worked glands don't end up becoming backed up. That's right, raw to the rescue again! I really should get a signature banner made... I'd still worm it to be safe, and if you're concerned see a vet. Oh and if you have a go at expressing the glands... watch the angle you're staring at its arse form. The juice really can come flying out in your face...
peefa 0
Ah carpet gliding look for a pooh stripe maybe just a sore arse. Regular worming should rule out worms. And anal glands dont even go there i fainted at a vet when i was a kid watching and even worse smelling it.
sandymere 8,263
Worm and get the glands emptied then add something to firm up the stools a couple of times a week, I use bones for this but bear in mind there are risks to feeding them, and use a reguler worming regime and hopefully it'll not happen again.
