whats your toughts on deerhound x greyhound?..any good for lamping rabbits?

Probably not the best cross for that specific job, but I've just added one to my team, to do other jobs as well as lamped rabbits.

The ones Ive seen on lamped well, Ive had 2 that both got into the hight 20`s, and the dog Axel off Lurchermania I saw get over 30 in one night..what they have is determination, the temperament to run rabbit after rabbit all night, you can take them out every night of the week,,what I havent seen yet is a deerhound x greyhound that couldnt kill a rabbit on the lamp, or indeed, during the day

i have 1st cross deer x grey dog,hes 31 1/2 tts and 84ibs in weight,he picked 12 rabbits last week on the lamp.his best to date is 21 from 22 runs on the lamp,hes killed 2 daytime long ears this season,another one today

one of the best lamping bitches i ever saw was a deerhound/greyhound fill your freezer for fun mate

Good breed bud. good lampers for all quary people say there to big for the job but to be honist there guttsy,got loads of stamina,and will do most jobs.if you know what i mean.as long as they can hold there self well there good old dogs

good dogs mate very loyal and determined dogs. Will put their heart into all quarry.
