chartpolski 23,946
Well, I know I'll get shit off the Collie guy's, but the worst dog I've ever had was a Collie/Greyhound !! It could jump like a stag, was biddable, caught a rabbit or two, but never made the grade as a lamper, and was far to slow to get near a hare ! O.K., I might have got a wrong 'un, but it put me off Collie X's for life !! Cheers. Quote Link to post

merle24 61
GOOD and NOT AS good in all crosses, the man behind the dog is more likely to be the missing link IMO. Edited November 28, 2009 by merle24 Quote Link to post

hagar 5
my second lurcher was a bitza, collie greyhound deerhound labrador and whatever else the guy said was in it i cant remember, he was shit he had no drive never chased a rabbit , i tried everything he went out every day and night got him at ten weeks kept him three years he never did anything, because of him i gave up lurchers for good, he stood twenty five inches weighed about forty pound fit not that he ever got fit because he would just stand next to me when off lead , only time he ran was when one of my bulldogs chased him , this dog was so bad you couldnt make it up and if i really described him you would think i was , i bought a working whippet to teach him she would catch while he stood and watched, he never left my side aaarrgh worse still she would run off eat the rabbit then come back , the ex missus gave the whippet to a friend of mine as a pet , i eventually gave old useless away free to a pet home and have vowed never again, i must be the worst lurcher trainer in the world or the unluckiest lol, tho my first was great and i trained it from a pup till it ran into a thresher one dark night Quote Link to post

THATS THE WORSE X I BEEN GETTING RINGING IN MY EARS FOR YEARS MATE NOT SAYING THEY NO GOOD JUST WHAT WAS SAID BY FEW GUYS I GO WITH DOGS There's good and bad in all breeds and you cant judge a whole breed off simply just one dog.. i myself have had the worse problem with a saluki cross tried to get it to do a thing for me was torture it just ran round the fields relentlessly i took the tw4t out lamping and it was scared of the dark so it got its knackers off and give to a old man... yet i still run a saluki cross and a collie cross Quote Link to post
