An air arms TX 200 doesn't recoil very much but with a scope it weighs about 10lb, same with HW 77. Both great guns but heavy. If you want a lighter spring gun theres plenty to choose from. BSA lightening or supersport or one of the lighter weihrauch's like the HW57 or 95. All of witch can be bought for well under 400 quid. A PCP will probly cost more and you have to buy a pump.

Shop around, mate. There are some bagains about.

I got a mint AA410c, walnut stock, 80 shots per charge (.22), all the charging gear for £400. First PCP I've had after 30 odd years with springers. I'll always keep them, but this is in a different league!!

Cheers.

Hi Pest hunter,

A Weihrauch HW95 is a moderate weight rifle and is quality. I have owned quite a few in my time.

The recoil from them is negligible and I’m sure a 10 stone person will handle it easily.

If you are still thinking about a cheap but TOP QUALITY PCP for under £400 then look no further than a BSA Ultra friend.

It's light, short, accurate as you will ever be able to shoot it to, and almost recoilless as all PCP's are due to only the firing valve causing any movement.

I hope you all the best
