Phil Lloyd 10,738
Just finished reading Dave Harcombe's much awaited new book,.."Work them hard, Treat them like Heroes"..... Absolutely Superb I am not fit or qualified to do any kind of revue,...but I'm sure Darcy or some other terrier enthusiast will do the honours... I am a mere novice with regards to the earth dog, and the digging game,..and I cannot 'talk terriers' so I'll only speak as a fellow hunter,...but,.I genuinely fecking loved this book,...and I sincerely believe that you digging guys will enjoy it as well... All the best,...CHALKWARREN.... 1 Quote Link to post

Bootsha 1,306
Got mine today , have read some already, usuall very high standard, mentions some fella called Lloydy in it , reckons he gave him the idea of the title a while back, DH has a way of putting his information accross that I have yet to see equalled, what he has done, borne of experience out there shining his spade, a lifetime of it and still going strong. I wasn't, and very much doubt anyone else will be in the slightest dissapointed with this book, another classic I reckon that'll be about for decades to come, same as his others. Guest AngelicAcid
This book is greatly anticipated, and from what i can gather should be one of the best books on working terriers ever written, if not the ONE to have. All of Harcombes books are straight down the middle. What you see is what you get. Quote Link to post

What you see is what you get. well said pal,i'm definiteley ordering one, anyone who has the slightest bit of interest in terrier work should get this book,i notice this man never needs to hype his books up,they have all been written straight and from experience and he nust know his terriers,he is obviously not breeding terriers for money or name (i've never yet heard of a Harcombe terrier) sounds like a proper terrier man to me, Higgins.
