Its these idiots that have ruined it for everyone, bullcrosses wont be worth a wank soon and i can see that driving the field game is going to come to an end soon wont be worth the hassle. Those days of going out all night traveling all over, enjoying ye sen are coming to an end fast an we all will suffer just coz of the dicks who have no sense and the ones who cant keep there hands off other peoples property. I agree here. Rural crime is on the up, so more police will be in those areas. A quick call to the police dont hurt before you go out, it saves alot of unwanted hassle and keeps the police actually going to a genuine job where their help is needed by members of the public. sambam 8
i would not call these scum "poachers". in my book a poacher is someone who goes undetected and doesnt smash gates, rip up fields and leave dead quarry in the middle of fields for all to see. its just a waste to leave somthing your dog put 110% into catching FOR YOU!! most farmers and landowners would turn a blind eye to the lads who walk a field with a stockbroke dog and takes a few rabbits the odd hare or mabey the odd deer and leave no sings that they were even there, but when thers dead quarry left in fields, damage to property and livestock, theft, farmers threatand and somtimes attacked its no wonder that at the first sign of a lamp that they get the police involved i know these type of people and unfortunatly have been out with them in the past, i lernt of my dad and his mates who were old skool types of poachers everything they caught went on the table or to the dogs or ferrets. it sickend me to see them leave the quarry iv found these type of people rerly train there dogs to standards of most of us, no stock braking no retrive work ect and hardly no fitness jus kenneled up and used as slip and kill dogs iv tried to educated some of them but most arnt interested its goin to ruin the lurcher world in my opinion and make it harder for genune dog men to gain permission like i said in a different post it would be good to have a show on tv that was about genuine lurcher lads and lasses and might help lurcher predudice that the media and yobs have created atb sam Quote Link to post

"Good evening Officer c**t, I'm just off to walk a few fields and exercise the local wildlife ................ " Perhaps not eh? It's not the permission issue here, I know lads who go out in all sorts of places without it, and all they leave behind is a few footprints, but to wake up to smashed fences, tyre tracks all over their crop, missing equipment is not going to amuse many farmers is it. Theft and damage will always be high on the Police priority, add to that the suggestion of hunting with dogs and how can any even pro hunting Bizzy ignore what's going on. The lads in question haven't ruined hunting with dogs, but they have brought it right on top and made catching lads out with dogs at night a priority, seems they are determined to make it even hotter for any lads that still get out. Who knows what the answer is, maybe they'll have 1 too many cars took off them, get fed up of their dogs getting seized, or maybe the ASBO's will work. Is there a way to disassociate decent normal hunting lads from thieves in cars who just happen to drop the odd dog out while they are out nicking? I don't know the answer to that, but no one can be surprised we all get tarred with the same brush while there's lads out there wrecking and nicking. Quote Link to post
