Guest Dale
a bedlington terrer i wouldnt say is much different to other terriers so why does every 1 seem to favour them? ... over a terrier such as patterdales ( fell) , or borders or a x from them , im due this week my 3/4 whippet 1/4 bedlington x JRT border lakelands , shes rather big at moment put some people have doubts but i dont see the problem as alot of people breed 1st x bedlington x whippets which i no are well known good dogs to use , im just wondering why people dont breed other types of terrier with whippets , gotta be good for sum thing , im positive my pups will be good bushing / ferreting dogs as my whippet x is extremally fast and is a very keen bitch . so hope fully pups will be same dont wanna rub ne 1 up wrong way so comments please Quote Link to post
Stabs 3
Dale, Bedlingtons already have a dash of whippet type in them from the rabbit coursing days (now banned) so using them you are loading the dice a little bit as you are getting a little bit more for your money than a straight terrier cross. Someone on here has a patt cross if I remember rightly Quote Link to post

witton 6
I think someone has a whippet/staffy and that is fast and runs rabbits well I cant see why your pup wont do well its still 3/4 running dog Good hunting David Quote Link to post
dodger 2,765
I think you should have some interest in those pups as the good old whirrier can be very useful for certain people and very durable. You can have a lot of fun with these dogs,i remember hearing about a dog "jenny"i think it was called who took massive bags of vermin i think she was a whippetxrussel. Good luck with them.
