Whats the best way to pluck game is it to pull the feathers in the direction they are laid or the oposite direction

if your doing pheasants i skin them as its easier to do than pluckbut pigeons or partridge i pluck if head was in hand and body hanging then i pull feathers upwards on back and chest and on wings i pull straight out

stand on each wing bird back down. pull legs up towards your chest all the shit is pulled of the bird and the breasts are laying there still attached to wings just cut them of and job done takes 1 min. look on youtube on skinning pheasant

I start to pluck from the back of the bird,doing the legs and plucking down to the second knuckle on the wings leaving the breast to do last,i always find it easier that way.

Yeh, I skin my Pheasant's as well, pluck everything else tho.

pluck them asap i pluck as soon as i pick them up. much much easier for some reason. and towards the feet

the best way will allways be,to get someone else to do it lol,my lad of 9 is mad for it and wants to learn everything he can
