Richie10 345
Give it a bone, check the bed is dry and warm, make it's home in a dog crate, give it a radio to listen to. Also some of your clothes, you just have to keep it occupied. Edited November 25, 2009 by Richie10
iceman001979 1,316
it is too young for a shock coller pups need time to settle in.As vthe connor c said keep using water and get your feeding times right eary in the morning and late at night pups just want to sleep after a good feed. Meerihunter 7
Have you taken the time to consider why it is barking and crying? Dogs are social animals they dislike being alone especially when they are so young and have not long been separated from there mother and litter mates. I sure as hell would not be putting an electric collar on a pup or throwing cold water over it. A squirty bottle with water in is a useful training aid to stop unwanted behavior but at the same time you have duty understand the reason behind the unwanted behavior and to meet the dogs basic needs before even thinking of correction. Phil Lloyd 10,738
Good, useful advice Meeri You hit the nail on the head,.WHY is the poor wee mite so unhappy.... The owner needs to find the answer to that question,...and peace will reign...
Helen 2
I wouldn't put a shock collar on a pup.Just a thought, Are you going to it when it barks? If you are it will bark more and more. If its been fed, watered and exercised put it in it's crate in a room on its own and IGNORE it. It's probably training you. It will soon realise you only go to it when its quiet. Obviously take it out to relieve itself or you will have house training problems also. Dogs have to learn to be alone.

blackstaff 488
Teach it TO bark. Everytime it barks when you don't want it to ignore it or tell it no. Then when you want it to bark make it bark by either barking yourself or getting it excited. When it's barking praise it, then tell him to stop. When he stops reward him. He will soon learn that when he stops he'll get rewarded Might sound a bit backwards but it worked for me Good luck
