MAYBE WITH ABIT OVE BULL INIT you dont need bull in a wheaten x well said. a well bred wheaten cross shouldnt need any bull in it. Quote Link to post
stormyboy 1,352
Got to agree with that-no bull required. Had a bitch a few years back 22 1/2 tts was one of the gamest lurchers i've seen and mustard on edible stuff too. Quote Link to post
stormrider8 59
A friend of mine has a litter of bull/wheaton/gry pups. Both parents are very well proven dogs i think they are both about 5 or 6 years old. I have seen both the parents work and they are a foreward gear dog only!! Quote Link to post
old school 518
just bought a 3/4grey 1/4 wheaten pup or at least i hope thats what he is because the sire couldnt be seen... i'll get pics up of him soon... the mother was a 1st cross and a bit too heavy for coursin, he only used her for terrier work... i think a cross back to a greyhound was the right choice Quote Link to post

welshwizard 33
The best dog for night work I have ever seen was a first cross Wheaton/Greyhound. He was about 23". Hard as nails, some boys came down from the North east. I think he was from the Durham area. Best night's lamping I have ever had. Quote Link to post
jimmys shop 182
I believe the half cross are a great allrounder ,although they could be doing with that extra bit of boot . No need to add bull ,i personally would like to have one with bit of saluki in it ,if looking one mate always ask what ways the full wheaten bred . As i believe there is very few good old wheatens left and the men who have the old ones are very very particular to what they breed to . Edited November 28, 2009 by jimmys shop Quote Link to post
