i used to run one it was a very hard dog, me mates just selt his wheaten bull they good dogs.

im looking for a bitch MYSELF. MAYBE WITH ABIT OVE BULL INIT

 

 

you dont need bull in a wheaten x

just bought a 3/4grey 1/4 wheaten pup or at least i hope thats what he is because the sire couldnt be seen... i'll get pics up of him soon... the mother was a 1st cross and a bit too heavy for coursin, he only used her for terrier work... i think a cross back to a greyhound was the right choice

I WAS JUST WOUNDERIN ABOUT THIS BREED OVE DOG. COULD SOMEONE TELL ME MORE ABOUT THEM . THEY SEEM TO BE GAME DOGS WAT IVE HERD SO FAR. IM THINKING ABOUT GETTING ONE OVE THESE DOGS MY SELF. BUT WANT TO NOW MORE ABOUT THEM,I.E BREEDERS,WELL BRED LINES ETC.

SO IF ENY 1 CAN HELP IM EAGELY AWITING COMMENTS THANKS .

only had 1 myself bit fiesty with dogs,mine took first 2 hares on lamp pre ban,and was 100 percent allround until he broke his neck,maybe a bull x with a lakey temp and keen with terrier temp fiery and keen

I believe the half cross are a great allrounder ,although they could be doing

with that extra bit of boot . No need to add bull ,i personally would like to

have one with bit of saluki in it ,if looking one mate always ask what ways the

full wheaten bred . As i believe there is very few good old wheatens left and the men who have the old ones are very very particular to what they breed to .

The best dog for night work I have ever seen was a first cross Wheaton/Greyhound. He was about 23". Hard as nails, some boys came down from the North east. I think he was from the Durham area. Best night's lamping I have ever had.

turned out silver grey.

 

Thats a great looking pup, smart and bright ,how is he bred, have a 3/4 bred pup myself but he doesnt have the coat on him of your pup, would prefare if he had,like a bit of skin on them.

Ive been using wheaten crosses many years...excellent all rounders. Pup of 8 months in picture wheaten/saluki cross collie saluki.
