Was it in it's use -by date?

I found an action man about two feet down once when digging for a lie-up. Digging for another rabbit we hit something rather hard and lumpy that turned out to be an almost complete but totally rusted BSA C15!

Had the dog mark a few pheasants down burrows both while beating and ferreting . Always head first as if they've dived for cover and always hens if I recall.I suppose they must be able to get out on their own but they are B*ggers to pull out! :whistling:
