Guest Mass_G3nocide
Roughly what are the limits for a fox using Federal premium in 223? as im not certain as to where to zero it into??? Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
Choice of 100 or 200 yards, which weight and type of bullet? In terms of killing him, if you can hit the right bit, you'll kill him with that - certainly under 500 yards, and he won't argue if it's in the right place. Suggest you check the drop and windage on some targets, get used to the performance of the rifle. Until then, 200 yards is basically aim and shoot with a 100 yard zero, for most ammo in 223. jamie g 17
1 inch high at 100 yards is about the norm to go for. Quote Link to post
Guest Mass_G3nocide
There 55 grain federal premium in the red box. Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
I'm guessing then that's the plastic tipped ones, which in this case are Nosler ballistic tips. They'll fly to about 3 inches low at 200, and about 10 at 300. So on a fox, anything under 200 yards, aim centre of chest and shoot, pretty much. I suspect you will find them pretty accurate, too.
