blackfox 9 Posted November 23, 2009 Report Share Posted November 23, 2009 I had seen another fox sniffing around the chickens... so last nite after a fablous bit of roast pork followed by copius ammounts of apple crumble i convinced the girlfriend to come be my lamp holder. Anyways the fun started before we got out of the garden it started raining "im not getting soaked cause you want to shoot a stupid fox" came from behind me, i had the lamp to begin with otherwise she tends to light up the whole village with it!!! when we got out to where the chickens are there was another noise "fine dont worry about me i dont need the light to see where im walking" i told her to be quiet then there was "dont talk to me like that otherwise you can hold your own f*****G lamp" Finally she has a scan of the field ant pretty much shouts "look theres one" anyways the foxes bolts to the hedge. We walk to the field behing about 40 acres with some winter wheat in, i had a scan of the field and spotted 2 pairs of eyes running towards us, it was one fox chasing another, anyways im leant on top of a gate post give her the lamp and tell her to follow them and then pop, hit the one in front on the run at about 70yrds.... his mate behind chasing didnt know what the hell happened but sooon pegged up over the field. Before anyone says "its laid on grass" i had to put it on the track going into the field as the girlfriend had enough of the rain by that time so i went back to take a pic and check out the damage this afternoon. Thos 39grns really do a very good job, there is a big hole in the shoulder, you cant see it too well tho. All in all a good nite, even had a leg over when i got back!! LOL Quote Link to post

blackfox 9 Posted November 23, 2009 Author Report Share Posted November 23, 2009 Yeah my girlfriend is pretty cool with it all, i just tell her its "Give and take" you drag me shopping for shoes i drag her to the gunshop, i watch eastenders with her & she can be my cheif lamp holder. Shes pretty keen for a little look walking or in a truck but i dont think she could cope with 2+hrs walking round.
