I've always used Berghaus fleece and waterproof Goretex on top with Deerhunter trousers as they're bloody warm and waterproof. Sealskinz gloves as well. Jacket Fleece Base Layer Base Layer Socks, gloves and hats Hope that's of some help mate. Edited November 23, 2009 by Brummy
FightTheBan 1,147
If that aint to your liking go to www.duckdri.co.uk. The country jacket and trousers you can get for bout £150 quid. Very warm gear, quite heavy, but you can practically swim in them and theyll keep water out.

FightTheBan 1,147
If money aint the main consideration, google swazi clothing. Probably the best money can buy. That would be my three choices !

FightTheBan 1,147
To be honest that jacket doesnt look half as waterproof as the duck dri. I would recomend you at least look at it before buying something else.
droid 11
If you're dashing around on a quad, then maybe motorcycle waterproofs might be better. I think the rain hitting Goretex at speed can penetrate it. There's plenty of motorcycle gear that doesn't make you look like a Power Ranger.
Macsen 4
Some of the specialist 'outdoor/mountaineering' brands are worth a look for some top notch waterproof gear, check out Mountain equipment , Rab or Haglofs, not cheap, but they do work. Had my mountain equipment waterproof for a couple of years and its always kept me dry even in the worst weather.
ross16689 1
I'd go for stoney creek, they are a new zealand company, just google "stoney creek nz" and check out mountainman.co.nz to see them in action!
