Where did the post go? and why? I responded to it last night in a humerous manner and it looks as if its been deleted? was it something I said? or did my comment hit a nerve?

Please Mods!! I would expect a reply to this curteous post or will this too be deleted?

All the best

Tom

Ps:

It appears Albert J is allowed to promote his game fairs on the HL and rightly so!! but a long standing member of the HL is not allowed to criticise his other post in relation to the same game fairs. Valid and polite debate was made on both side's of the coin and yet what could have been an enlightning post gets deleted (shame) It seems Albert J's posts are only about promoting his business of running and organising game fairs and nothing else? and yet Strong Stuff does the same (promotes his own business) and still manages to gain our respect and support by being one of the lads who takes regular part in the pursuits, we all love.

Its a personal opinion but I've always thought none of us were above criticsism? including me!! Maybe Albert J thinks his posts are above criticsism? if he does? I suggest he's on the wrong forum??

My post was on the unmasking of Story Man not Country Man but hey who knows they may be one and the same.

I came on the forum to defend myself and people for whom I have a high regard.

But I don't mind the rough & tumble of debate and I am prepared to say what I want to say under my own name. Story Man seeks to hide behind a number of aliases but William would appear to be his first name!

Love to have seen your "humorous response!"

Spot On Foxgun - appears to be or emanate from Bill or William.

And if as you say I come on to this Forum to promote OUR fairs I do it under my own name not under an alias.

In fact I came on to the forum to defend our fairs and people associated with them from what I considered to be unfair attacks. I have to stress I had nothing to do with your post or anyone elses being removed. I should have loved to have seen it and possibly replied. I do not consider my posts to be above criticism or indeed to have our fairs criticised in a constructive fashion. In fact we have been listening to constructive criticism and I think the fact that we organised the two best game or country fairs in Ireland last year showed we were acting on it.

Our team are all committed country sports enthusiasts and our event organisers have all shown they have the expertise to not only run top quality events but excel in their own sports. On a personal basis I am not a terrier or lurcher owner - nor do I think is William ( Bill) but I can claim to have done more to promote terrier & lurcher showing in Ireland than most people having hosted and sponsored terrier and lurcher shows and racing for over 30 years and some 50 events. I am delighted to see that other shows are now playing "catch up" with regards to prizes and knowledgeable judges.

Thanks for the reply and I do acknowledge, you were in no way responsible for the removal of the original post! I also acknowledge that you do appear to be trying to promote Lurcher and terriers in the republic :notworthy: All you can ever do is ask the lads in the know what they want? listen to them and take their advice 8) , it appears you are trying to do this? but you'l never please everybody!!

I've never been to a Lurcher & Terrier show in the republic  despite having had an invite to Ballinlough by the organiser's, Unfortunatly the invitatation collapsed, when I resigned as Development Officer for a certain Scottish fieldsports organisation (but hey!! thats politics)

All the best for Xmas and the New Year :boogie:

Ps:
