Tangling Purse Nets

Are 10oz purse nets a lot better than 4oz nets for not getting tangled? My 4oz nylon nets are an absolute nightmare and every time I go ferreting I end up spending ages untangling them....any advice? Are hemp nets more tangle free than nylon?

yea mate they are less prone to tangling i like to use 6z as 10 can be abit heavy, as for nylon vs hemp the nylon will last longer but yea hemp is alot more tangle proof

hemp wont tangle as much as nylon but you have 2 dry out hemp nets if you have been out in the rain before your next outing i perefer nylon nets myself it aint 2 bad untangling them

4z net are dreadfull try 6 z or spun nylon mate hemps good but they need a bit of after care 10z are a bit to heavy for me

Hi mate 4oz nylon nets are cheap for a one reason and thats because they are rubbish

10oz nylon nets are far better quality but to be honest we only use spun polyester as we make all our own nets and poly

is nice to work with it comes in easy to see colours dont rot and handles brilliantly

So my advice would be either get yourself some 10oz nylon /polyester/or hemp nets when you can afford to do so and out

Avoid 4z nets like the plague. There is plenty of debate about what is best but everyone agrees that 4z should be avoided.

8 0z i use they are spot on. hemp good but need drying

I found that mine even tangle when you're carrying them never mind picking them up from a warren! and they're constantly getting tangled in twigs or the ferrets heads when they pop out of the hole, have I just got naff quality nets?
