It'll handle just about all picture file types, although it may not work with RAW files if your camera is the very very latest model. But you'll have the camera software to convert them anyway. Fabapocalypse 35 Posted November 23, 2009 Report Share Posted November 23, 2009 A telephoto lens is one that is capable of making far away objects seem closer, normally only at one focal length (strength of magnification, if you like). A zoom lens is a lens capable of changing focal lengths, so it can move from, say, wide angle (making close objects seem further away) through to telephoto. They're more versatile as you don't have to change lenses for different jobs but the quality isn't quite as good as from fixed length lenses. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
