Tall Neil 0
had the boots 6 months and can say they are the best boot Ive had to date. I use them for hillwalking mainly and spent 4 wet days up at Glen Shiel. We walked every day in terrible conditions and the boots never let a drop of water through. We were munro bagging and off the track for the majority of the time. They manage stream crossings and the rough terrain of the highlands - no problem. Grip is fantastic - never fell once, whilst friend in Scarpa's was over several times. Rubber rand - Brilliant at protecting boot in rocky areas. Support - One of my ankles is shot at! The support from these is brilliant. Cushioning - Brilliant. Weight - They are quite heavy, but I can only compare then to Scarpa SLs that Ive worn lately. Weight doesnt matter when conditions are terrible. Dry feet are priceless. I do lots of munro walking in Scottish Highlands, in all conditions, off the beaten track. Definately a boot to check out. Probably wondering how am I to know if they are a good boot - I was a Keeper on a grouse moor in North Lancs for several years after leaving school. Still remember my 1st pair of Hobnail boots from Brough. Boots have come a long way eh! Quote Link to post
