DUCKWING 302
WELL MATE , I KNOW A FEW LADS WHO HUNT WITH SPANIEL Xs ,...... VERY GOOD MOOCHING TYPES ON ROUGH REEDY LAND AND DECENT LAMPERS FOR ME THEY ARE A FEW YARDS SHORT ON DECENT RUNNING LAND , PERSONALLY IVE ALWAYS LIKED THE HUNTING LABRADOR CROSSES IVE SEEN , VERY GOOD GAME GETTERS , NOT AS VOCAL AS GWP CROSSES AND EVERY BIT AS TOUGH ALL THE BEST DUCKWING Quote Link to post
dogs-n-natives 1,182
love to see one. i've a fine springer that hunts, marks and will draw a fox and then flush and fetch a cock. only thing is he's built likt a bull dog so any hound x would be slowed up. Sounds like my spaniel mate... great dogs My friends tell me about a couple of lads in the yorkshire dales who lamp with spaniel/greyhound crosses, and say they are great dogs on all quarry. Its certainly a cross id like to see working one day, as well as the lab cross, as iv heard good about them too. Ive had plenty of hunting with wire haired pointer/greyhounds on the fells, as a couple of keeper friends have this cross, and they are good workers, steady hunters, and can fill a freezer no worries.... quite game too.
