watchman 256
one of my dogs from years back would do this,no problem on land that you know but you do have to be a lot more aware of unseen obsticles as accidents can and do easily happen. must admit it was great to see charlie sitting out at the end of the beam, only to get lifted by a dog running in,they never saw her coming, defo a productive method for that particular bitch atb Quote Link to post
jono88 0
my last dog a colliegreyhound used 2 do this she also got down n crept up 2 her quarry getin within a cuple of yards before pouncing was great 2 watch unfortunatley she ran into a wire fence whilst giving chase breaking a bone in her neck i wo gutted best dog i ever had Quote Link to post
andyrose 8
i see it as a good trait, my old collie cross used to do it, it saves the rabbit being lost in her shadow or being spooked by the shadow, although she did'nt run to far out the beam. if my new pup starts doing this when i start him i'll be a happy man Quote Link to post
