Well done Scotland

can only be good for Scottish rugby. rugby isn't that popular in scotland, in fact the vast majority probably didn't even know they were playing yesterday. but like i said it can only do scottish rugby good especially with the football team being so crap

:icon_eek: rugby is not that popular ????????? anyway it was a good result for us yes i maybe picking faults but i still never saw anyone who could score tries for us

yes rugby isn't popular at all. go and watch a rugby match in wales then come up here and watch a game.look at the crowds the two big teams attract every home game. Glasgow warriors game against connarct 2280. for a city with the population of 620,000 id say rugby ist that popular in scotlands biggest city. also 4000 for edinburgh game v Munster and a lot of them were Munster fans. rugby isnt popular at all in Scotland, may bee it is where your from but in the central belt where the most of the Scottish people live it isn't. im not arguing with you just stating some facts

I hear what you're saying, rugby is ingrained into our culture here in Wales, not so in Scotland. There's good interest in the national side there though, as shown by the thousands of great Scottish rugby fans who make the long trip to Cardiff every other year, and having a damn good drink with us before, during and after the game!:thumbs:

Aye, well done the scots, gritty determined defence and a little bit of luck won them that game...and they more than deserved to win for their sheer bloody mindedness.

We shall see what the aussies are made of when they come to the millenium on the weekend. Looks like Peel will be in at scrum half too, cooper has been released by the welsh management to play on tuesday for his region, so looks like he will be ruled out for the australia match, good news indeed.

That'll be old Bill Mclaren then, still miss his voice on the commentary. Guessing you're from Hawick then?

Best rugby commentator there has ever been. What he did not know about any player was not worth knowing, his knowledge of rugby was immense. In my mind I can still hear to this day his beautiful accent, "Laidlow out to Rutherford", and "they will be celebrating in Glynneath / where ever the player who scored was from, tonight". The man was a genius I do not think that any commentator has come close since he retired.

WIFES DIARY

20 November 2009 Saturday

Saw him in the evening and he was acting really strangely.

I'd been shopping in the afternoon with the girls and was a bit late meeting him, thought it might be that.

The bar was really crowded and loud, so I suggested we go somewhere quieter to talk.

He was still very subdued and distracted so I suggested we went somewhere nice to eat.

All through dinner he just didn't seem himself - he hardly laughed and didn't seem to be paying any attention to me or to what I was saying, I just knew that something was wrong.

He dropped me back home and I wondered if he was going to come in, he hesitated but followed.

I asked him what was wrong, but he just half shook his head and turned the television on.

After about ten minutes of silence I said that I was going upstairs to bed, I put my arms around him and told him that I loved him deeply, he just gave a sigh and a sad sort of smile.

He didn't follow me up immediately but came up later and, to my surprise, we made love - but he still seemed distant and a bit cold.

I cried myself to sleep - I think he's planning to leave me - maybe he's found someone else.
