davyt63 1,845
hi every one i went over to the business park to zero my AAS410K .177 after it taking a bad knock against a post after jumping over a fence! bending the barrel and scratching the stock! against post with barbed wire on it any way got set up for zeroing and 25 shots later the AAS410K was grouping well! thank AA for barrel bands, dred to tink what would it be like if it was a floating barrel then after getting my scope back on loan to andyz, i put it back on the HW100TS 2 mags later that was grouping well too. it just started to rain as i was finishing so in the car for a look around, i went to the entrance where i have been asked to clear any pigeons fowling the flag poles!! i couldnt see any but as i was turning away i see a wood pigeon deep in a tree out of the rain,so many branches! it took me 15 minutes to get in the right position to shoot and then THWACK! dropped like a stone! as i was about to get out of the car i heard the screach!! of a magpie so stayed in the car, it must have seen it fall as it was on it like a flash! as i got me HW100 up to aim it spotted me and went up and deeper in to the tree, but little did it know that i had a good veiw of it THWACK!! yes like a stone! i went back up to the top for one last look, and see a suizzer! moving about in the small trees which are level with the boundry so had to wait for the shot to come of, as it was over the boundry.this took about half an hour as soon as it came close THWACK!!! dropped straight on to permission side, so all in all a good half hour zeroing and a quick hours vermin control group photo happy hunting davy Quote Link to post

zini 1,939
Nice shooting there Davy mate. Shame about the stock on the AAS410K. At least your barrel is ok. Ive got to get myself a .177 calibre gun again. I miss that flat trajectory. Im after getting a .177 FX Vermineator with a HW silencer. Ill put a small tasco 2-6x32 with mil dot on it and then ive got a ace night time rabbit bashing gun from my car. Small, accurate, and easy to move about in the car. Zini Quote Link to post

Sweeney-Todd 208
Hiya Davy. Just a thought for the scratches on your butt ( Rifle Butt I mean ) You can buy wax furiture crayons that would do the job of hiding the scratches, crayon the scratch then spit on a soft rag and gently rub untill it blends in. Hope Im not trying to tell you how to suck eggs mate ATB. Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Superb Noggin shots on the TreeRat and Woodie Looks like the maggie had a cold on its chest (cold lead that is) Shame about the damage, but good thing nothing too serious. Knocked the front end of my S200 today:doh:, then proceeded to miss 5 shots at bunnies and one at a woody. Stood a small pear (fruit left for the nags) on the fence, crosshair on the centre, pellet penetrated the fence post about 2 inches low:thumbdown: Was too cold to spend time zeroing, so went home and fitted my AA Mod to the Mod19 for a zeroing session tomorrow, weather permitting:yes: Phantom Quote Link to post
