Lamping with Reggaeman and Wuzzy last night

Hi all,

Here is a quick post from last nights lamping session with my good pals Reggaeman and Wuzzy.

We met up last night when it got dark at our usual meeting place. We went for a quick check zero to ensure all the combos were knocking 10 spots out at 30 metres.

I drove the car first while Reggaeman and Wuzzy knocked a few bunnies over with their usual pin point accuracy. This went on until Wuzzy had shot 2 and Reggaeman 2. Wuzzy then kindly volunteered to drive and let me get out the old faithful R10 :whistling:.

This kindness carried on through the rest of yesterday night and into the early hours of this morning as Wuzzy just got the lamping and driving bug and i carried on shooting.

We ended up with 12 bunnies in total but seen 4 times that hiding and "sneaking like sneaking things" in the long grass.

I managed some lovely shots, only seeing rabbit eyes in the long grass but adjusting my POI to ensure 2 brain shots on retreaval.

The shot of the night though went to Reggaeman with his BSA Ultra. There was long range bunny (35 - 40 metres)sat in the grass next to the air field that got hammered by his .177 AA Field. Good night and Godbless Bugs :victory: .

Thanks again for a brill night guys and enableing me to get my needed fix of shot bunnies.

Your aways welcome up here, just give me a call when your ready again.

Nice going guy's :clapper:

Love a good write up.

Not really been out much this last week due to the :censored: weather!

Went out last night with Riff Raff, two shots off, two bunnies ran

Went out to my newest written permission today, Paddock was full of kids, men and women :( giving the nags a bit of excersice.

Decided to pace out all the warren entrances and come up with the best sniping position, oh how my head hurts, there are that many warrens there :icon_eek:

I figured out a place where I will be best off starting, I can cover 4 warrens all within 30 yards from that one spot

I saw some woodies in a tree so decided to have a pop at one:yes: Let off the shot and the woodies flew off:doh: Scanning the paddock after they families went home, I drew a bead on a Carrion Crows Noggin, at about 70 yards it was way too far for me to even think about pulling off the shot standing in that wind. So I will be patient and get him another day

Once again, Well done guy's. Looking forward to meeting you next year :D

Great write up and a great nights shooting by the look of it guys.

Was that spread between the old and new permissions???

If you'd have said you's were going out me and Festa would have tagged along, presuming we were invited of course

No Daryl mate,

That was 1 rabbit i shot myself before i met the lads on the permission where i lamped for Gary and he shot 2 or 3 and the rest was on the old permission mate.

To let you the honest truth mate we didnt go behind the old mansion or the huge cow field behind that. We just stuck to the roads. We never got out the car unless we needed to retrieve a bunny or find one that we had shot and was in the under growth.

I think there must of been another 4 to 5 that we nailed but couldnt find due to the undergrowth. Gutted i was. I hit one at 30 metres and it jumped 3 foot in the air i kid you not. But i couldnt find it for sh-t.

Im not kidding mate last night the rabbits were out in force. I think it was due to after 2 or 3 days bad weather and they were hungry.

We must have seen between 70 to 100 just on a bit of my old permission mate throughout the night.

The problem is that thick brackon grass type of shite still hasnt died down all the way so lots of the buggers were laid down looking at us and smiling.
