Differs from dog to dog imo. what youre running and what land youre running on.

i think down to the dog owners ,,,to know whats right

my racing is yard lb,,,running weight is a very big part off there life,,,( too heavy - there too slow,,,,too light they have no energy )

some pins show,,on some dogs they dont,,,,but check there chest i,e man boobs if u like,,,thats were dogs fat is stored also

ive seen dog,s show no pins,,,but on chest,, there thinner than a piegons chest,,,which aint good ( no energy )

( its probably an art to get 100% right,,,but a good dog owner will always know,,whatever the breed ) if unsure best i little fat ,,than thin

Getting a dog properly fit is an art in istself: lurchers being crossbreeds will all vary a little in type even even within the same litter. Just because you can see the pin bones doesn't mean that the dog is the correct weight or fitness: only steady, prolonged and regular exercise of the right sort will get a dog properly fit.

"l give the dog 8 eggs an hour before l go ". . . this is interesting. I assume the eggs are for the protein they hold, but Im not sure it hits the system this quick to be of help? Perhaps you can enlighten me.

Just for your info I had a discussion with an ex greyhound vet and they suggested I administer 5ml of recharge with 1/2 cup of water just before working.
