caught a 16lber on a handline off an old pier in shetland as a kid, scared the shit out of me when i saw it

 

Never had anything of any decent size using rod and line though

i was present when my mates dad caught this 19lb cod off chesil beach 13 years ago now. ! thought it was the biggest fish in the world back then.

my biggest cod is only about 3 lbs but tell you what it was one of the first imes ive ever been sea fishing (strickly carp angler me) and i was glad to even catch a fish

Sadly my PB Cod is a mere 12lb'er, taken from Portishead steamer pier on Ragworm dug locally that very morning.
