lilvixen. the folk that pulled down old georges stuff for being lakeland based. soon started useing his stuff to tidy up there lines they won very little. then used howlbeck and hey presto old mr simpson bred some crackin workers and now and then his line produced animals as near perfection that is humanly possible.

There aren't many kennels without George's stuff in it now, still has his stamp in the breed and will be around for a long while yet. Hope you didn't think I was knocking his stuff in my previous post definately not aimed at Howlbeck.

 

problem is his stuff is getting diluted to much show only stuff. there is a dog near to me that is double bred to piper. but he is a strong f****r

Is it registered? Trying to find a half decent dog with papers is like finding rocking horse sh*t?

Great dog with an uncanny brain.

Originally aquired him from a lady with family issues when he was a 6 week old pup.

He became a good friend working on charter boats with me as well as Ferreting.

Put him over a Jack Russel bitch around 1997 & ended up with a tiny little

pup bitch from the litter.

 

Tasha,

 

She's been another great companion & also is quite good in the field.

Considering her demure size she copes pretty well with full sized bunnys

when they hit the nets.

 

Like most of them, she's just as head strong too

its nice to see some people russells,but i think we are loosing a bit on this thred,it does say "good working russells"weather you hunt mice in a barn or dig to fox "yes its work"but to me and a lot of lads i know terriers where born to hunt to ground,some of these pictures i see are bordering on silly perthetic pets which prob hasent even been to ground,who gives a stuff how its bred and poxy papers,the fox in the ground dont give a shit if you terrier got papers or not,if you just take a look at the free ads or most papers and web sites which sell dogs,it makes me sick to see an add to the affect of"terrier pups for sale out of good showing/working lines bred by BLAR BLAR BLAR...£350 quid..some got picture of the dam and sire these fuc...aint seen no work at all,and there owners are stating this that the other,come on lads lets wake up and smell the coffee,there is a saying out with me when we got a so called terrier bred out of super dogs and its "this is where reality starts and fantasy ends"its all about money end of...there isnt many true working terrier men left because most of them are tainted with the smell of fame and money,imo a terriers true roll is in the ground,and if he/she cant do the time and stay to his quarry then they should not be used for breeding,and not just the odd 1 or 2 foxs a month,terriers need to be tested every week, week in week out then and only then if the do two good seasons for you then i would consider breeding,the trouble with this game is there is too many shit passed around and then they are bred from,breed shit you get shit. thanks for reading my rant..sorry
